This month I wanted us all to share recipes of some kind with y’all. I’m sure they’ll be some great meal, household, and personal care recipes on the blog this month. I can’t wait to see what the other ladies share with us!
Mary Helen is sharing today and I assure you, it’s a yummy recipe.
Directions:
used glass, but I’ve also used cake pans but my most favorite is throw away foil pans (No dishes to clean=happy Mama!).
Try this with sausage of any kind (we have venison a lot at my house), bacon or bacon bits. When I have taken this to ladies’ breakfast I’ve done versions with veggies. Onions, mushrooms, bell pepper, and even zucchini squash are just a few of the things I’ve added (Make sure to per-cook down your veggies).
Step 3
Not so many eggs? No worries! Just add whatever you do have. I have done as many as ten in a large foil pan or five in the 13×9. Just makes for a thinner casserole. Also, the half and half is just to make the eggs creamier and soft but not a must either.
You can use any kind of cheese for this. This is Cheddar/Monterrey mix. I’m sure even sliced would work just watch to make sure it does not brown to fast. Feta is a GREAT option to go along with the veggies and pie crust I mentioned! Perfect girly quiche! 🙂
Step 5
Mary Helen Daniels lives in South Mississippi where she and her husband, Josh love on three beautiful kids, Hannah, Noah, and Sarah. Josh is the pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church, and most of their time is spent ministering with their church family to the surrounding community. She is a stay-at-home mama, and home-schools all three kids from ages 9 to 4. Her lifelong dream is to be a published author. She follows God’s plan to grow her writing skills and reach other women by running a small blog, A Mama’s Workload. Her greatest passion for writing is letting the world of Christian women know they are not alone; somewhere out there stands a wife, a mom, and a woman in the same shoes and a God who loves them dearly.
Happy tummies,
Mary Helen Daniels
Mary Helen! Thank you so much for sharing this….it sounds absolutely wonderful! I have been wanting a good, fool-proof breakfast casserole. My family loves breakfast and we usually have it for super about once a month (or more). This will be a great dish to make and be something different.
Cant wait to try it!
