Thought Provoking Thursday

That’s easier said than done isn’t it?

A lot of times in my life, my plans definitely don’t match God’s plans. Thank goodness they don’t! There are so many plans I had for my life (and still do) that did not happen. At those seasons in life, it was discouraging and upsetting, but looking back I can have peace.

It’s like parenting…There are times when our children may not see the whole picture, but we can and they have to trust us.

He always knows what is best for our life. No matter how hard it may seem at the time, we can absolutely trust Him with the plans He has for us. His purpose is much bigger than we can see and that’s why we have to trust Him.

Father, thank You for seeing the bigger picture in our lives. You are so good! You have our best in mind and You desire to see us prosper. You desire to see us full of joy. Help us to trust You even when our plans don’t come to fruition. May we plan with the intent of changing if You desire it. Help us to know that all You do is for our good and Your glory. Even when we can’t see what You’re doing, let us trust You are for us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
