We live in an all about me culture. “Do what makes you happy!” is a phrase we hear a lot, even concerning our marriages. It’s a 50/50 mentality, instead of a 100/100 in our society.
In reality we should be concerned with serving not being served.
In our marriages, we should be seeking to serve our husbands. We have to drain out the vioces that say otherwise. It will take the power of the Spirit to accomplish being a servant.
If you feel that your husband isn’t a servant, don’t focus on that. Ask the father to show you where you lack in servanthood and He will show you ways to serve. Pray for your man. Pray that the Father would deal with his heart, as he deals with yours. Don’t be the norm when it comes to your marriage, be the exception.
Father, thank You for the example of servanthood. Thank you for showing us how to serve in our marriages. Help us to die to our flesh and yield to Your Spirit. May we be an example to those around us and let Your light shine thourgh us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
And whosoever of you will be the chiefest shall be servant of all.
