A lot of days, I feel so inadequate at this whole thing called life. I know what I’m not good at and can totally admit it.
But you know what? God doesn’t call the equipped, He equips the called. If we look back in scripture, the Father never called those who felt they could do the job. When he called someone, by way of Himself or an angel, they always voiced their concern.
The Father wants obedient hearts, not skilled and talented ones.
When we feel that we’re not fit for the job, the Father can do His work through us. Our confidence has to lie in the Father, not ourselves. He is powerful, not us.
So when you’re feeling inadequate, just remember the Father is adequate. He will empower you with His Spirit to accomplish His will.
Father, thank you for equipping us for whatever task You call us to do. You don’t want our skill, You want our obedience. Help us to trust Your plan and step forward in faith. May we let Your Spirit lead and guide us so You can be glorified. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my finger to fight:
