About Me

I’m Heather and I love to write. In the last 8 years I have been through a lot. I wanted to start blogging to encourage others in their walk with the Lord. It’s not an easy journey for any of us, but with a glimpse of God’s goodness we can make it and encourage one another. I started blogging just to write about our daily lives, but God took my writing to a new level. I began writing devotions last year for two online ministries and also wrote a book this past July. God is truly amazing and blows my expectations of who He is and what He can do.

Here you will find my thoughts on Motherhood, marriage, and daily life. I will share resources, activities, and recipes from time to time also. I hope that you take something from my blog that will aid your walk with the Lord.

I write online devotions for Laced With Grace. I’m so honored to write with this group of wonderful ladies.

I’m married to the love of my life, Mike. We have been married 10 years. I could not have asked for a better man to be my husband. God knew just what He was doing when he put us together. I love him more now, than the day we married. He’s a wonderful husband, Father, and man of God. I do not deserve him, but God is so good.

I’m also Mother to three energetic, rambunctious, sweet boys. These are my three treasures. I never envisioned myself with children, but I wouldn’t trade them for the world. They keep me on my toes and on my knees. They love playing with army men, cars, and horses. Making forts, climbing trees, and playing with our dogs is how they love to spend their days. I pray daily that they will one day make Jesus the Lord of their life and seek to honor Him in all they do.

I’m a daughter of the King. I seek to honor my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has saved me from hell and myself. I am so grateful to Him for all He blesses me with. I seek to have an obedient and repentant heart for Him.

Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips, nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.

Titus 2:3-5

I published my first book in July 2014. It’s a 30 day devotional called At the Master’s Feet: Encouragement For Your Soul by Heather Strickland. It’s available on Amazon in the Kindle version and the print version.
