About Me

I’m just a home maker that is trying to follow Yahweh in all that I do. I answer to Heather, Mama, Heather Kae, or baby (from my sweet husband). I have always loved to encourage others. So I decided why not start a blog? Fast forward a good bit of years and my writing has went from just about daily life to sharing real, honest experiences that I hope encourage other women, wives, and mothers. I am far from perfect and think we can help one another by sharing our shortcomings and victories.

For sometime, I wrote for two online ministries with some amazing ladies. I also wrote a book of devotions in the summer of 2014. I went from wanting a huge following and hitting it big with the next best book to just wanting to be the wife and mother Yahweh desires me to be. If my writing speaks to just one, then I am satisfied. For the one, He will leave 99 so why shouldn’t that be my desire? Yahweh is truly amazing and blows my expectations of who He is and what He can do.

Around here you will find my thoughts on motherhood, marriage, and daily life. I hope as I share my experiences and thoughts that it encourages you and you know you are not alone. We’re all striving to obtain the likeness of Yahweh and it’s not an easy journey. I hope that you take something from my blog that will aid your walk with the Lord.

I’m married to my best friend. We have been married 12 years. I could not have asked for a better man to be my husband. Yahweh knew just what He was doing when he put us together. I love him more now, than the day we married. He’s a wonderful husband, Father, and man of Yahweh. I do not deserve him, but Yahweh is so good. We aren’t the picture perfect couple, but we strive to love one another as He commanded. We have 3 boys that are truly gifts. They are energetic and Yahweh is using them to shape me more into a servant.

I’m also Mother to three energetic, rambunctious, sweet boys. These are my three treasures. I never envisioned myself with children, but I wouldn’t trade them for the world. They keep me on my toes and on my knees. They love playing with army men, cars, and horses. Making forts, climbing trees, and playing with our dogs is how they love to spend their days. I pray daily that they will one day make Jesus the Lord of their life and seek to honor Him in all they do.

I’m a daughter of the King. I seek to honor my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has saved me from hell and myself. I am so grateful to Him for all He blesses me with. I seek to have an obedient and repentant heart for Him.

Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips, nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.

Titus 2:3-5

I published my first book in July 2014. It’s a 30 day devotional called At the Master’s Feet: Encouragement For Your Soul by Heather Strickland. It’s available on Amazon in the Kindle version and the print version.
